If you have been reading this blog for the last 3 years, you’ve probably seen my name, read about the things I like to do in my free time, and maybe even glanced at a photo or two… That’s because until now, I’ve been kind of behind the scenes – an editor and photo-picker-outer extraordinaire!  For those of you who are first timers….I’m Jules – the 2nd half of the newly rebranded Not So Sterne Photography.  You see, in 5 short weeks, I’ll actually be a Sterne….so then it’ll make more sense.

For now, I figured I’d start by introducing myself and sharing the type of photography I like to shoot.  Baby steps….

I’m really into macro photography.  There’s something about getting up close and personal with some flowers, finding interesting angles, and making the colors and textures pop.  I’ve also recently (well, since we’ve lived in CA) become interested in more general nature and landscape photography.  Here are some of my shots – hopefully you like what you see!
